Mike is an inspirational leader who really walks the talk. The first time I met him in person was at a leadership development training where he was invited to share his passion for mentoring others. I asked him if he had any mentees in Canada. He looked at me and said "I do now!" I have no doubt that Mike will be an outstanding ambassador for the John Maxell Team.

Growing up with my brother Mike, he was always one that was head strong, took initiative to start anything he put his mind too and followed through on what he started. He has a gentle heart, kind soul and is passionate about life, work and most of all his family. Best brother, mentor, leader and wonderful person anyone could ever ask for...Congratulations Mike!

I have known Mike for decades now and I speak from the heart when I say he is one of the most genuine, driven people I know. I began our relationship supervising him and I quickly realized this young man was going places. He exudes an aura that is contagious and others desire. He has a heart of gold as well and cares for others in such a selfless way. He epitomizes the characteristics of leadership that is the envy of any organization yet he is so humble about it. I admire Mike in many ways and proud to call him a colleague and a friend.

Just a note to tell you how grateful we are as Grandparents for what you have done for our grandson. What a sweet thing to do. He had such a horrendous experience on the other team and you turned that around. What we saw was what we wanted for him....a really happy experience. The joy on his face was so endearing to us. Thank you! You exemplify what we all strive to be. May God bless you and your family!

During my first few months in role, I was thrown into a very large event, in which it was my team's responsibility to get the word out around mentoring, networking and the importance of both. Mike was one of the 1st associates to visit our booth and during our initial conversation it was evident how much of an advocate he was around mentoring. So much so that he sent his entire team over to our booth to make sure that they were engaged and involved in the information that was being shared. It is encouraged in our workspace that we bring our true, authentic selves to work and Mike makes sure that he does just that. A great associate, leader, advisor and all around consistent person is something so rare that it is greatly appreciated in Mike. I don't think he has ever met a stranger. He has a way of making you feel comfortable under any and every circumstance. His genuineness and warm, inviting nature is a true reflection of someone worthy of such a prestigious award.

I had the privilege to work with Mike Camp during the 13 years I worked for Walmart. We began our careers about the same time, while in different parts of the country. Mike had never setteled for anything less than more knowledge about the company. He has excelled way beyond I think what he could have ever imagined. He is a true leader of people. It is a privilege, an honor to know him. Way to go Mike, you deserve the reconginitiin for the hard work you have put into your career.

I have worked with Mike several times over the last ten years. He has always been available for a kind words and support when needed. He is able to build someone up and make them feel like they are the most important person in the world by just sharing a short story or kind words. He can get you excited about just about anything because of his own excitement. He loves sharing stores about his family and life. He’s a blessing.

I have had the pleasure of working for Mike for the last 2 years and he is a true servant leader. He’s a leader both inside and outside of work and supports the team through everything we do. Mike is very responsive to the team’s needs as well as encourages us to try new things and pursues development opportunities tailored to our professional growth. Mike has a remarkable history with Walmart and never forgets a face or a name. He is often invited to be a guest speaker at the Welcome to Walmart orientations as well as mentoring groups and other speaking engagements across the company. Mike is also a community enthusiast and supports both the Girl Scouts, youth baseball, and local elementary schools. He will organize 2-3 reading events each year at the local elementary schools for Walmart associates to participate in and it’s a great way for the parents to get involved to share the splendor of reading with young students. One of my favorite qualities of Mike is his unending support of work-life balance. He firmly believes that family always comes first and models a dedicated father and husband. He provides guidance to my husband and I on raising our young family and ideas or suggestions for us to consider as we are on our journey. I am very thankful to work for such a spectacular leader and honored to be a part of his team.

Mr. Camp is a wonderful volunteer at our school and within my classroom. He has lined up readers for our school in honor of different holidays or months in which people or groups are recognized. He is willing to take things home and do them for me. He is also a fantastic helper on field trips! His volunteer hours also provided financial support to my classroom as well, which has opened my classroom up to alternative seating. Students get to sit in seats that help with their focus and work. Our daughters happen to be in the same Girl Scout troop and he is also an amazing volunteer for the Girl Scout troop. He is a wonderful person in all aspects!

I have known Mike Camp for four years through RE Baker Elementary and Girl Scouts. Mike has attended every school field trip and activity as a chaperone for our kids over the past four years. He also volunteers to take projects home that will help teachers in their classrooms. Mike's daughter has been in my Girl Scout troop for three years and he is always willing to come run our registration tables and work as our security during service unit events. Mike has also chaperoned many of our troop's field trips. Mike serves on the Board of Directors for our state's Girl Scout council, Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Being on the board requires Mike to travel to Little Rock to attend many board meetings. Mike is one of only a handful of local men in our area that are "Man Enough to be a Girl Scout." I am thankful for all of the numerous hours Mike gives to the children in Northwest Arkansas.

I have not worked directly with Mike but only through Logistics when he was with Asset Protection. He was a motivator, leader and one of the best at putting a smile on your face. Always positive which definitely is contagious. Through the years I always hear from Mike on Administrative Assistants day, if no one else recognizes this day Mike always sends a special email to all of us. Truly a caring individual and great mentor. But I have to admit one of his best qualities is he is a "Dallas Cowboy Fan"
